Sandy Pennypacker

It seems impossible to think that we are approaching our 50th Penncrest High School Reunion, however, it is indeed almost upon us.  Being the second graduating class of Penncrest means we were the original pioneers of the high school, with a school spirit that has grown and evolved into what the school is today.

There are so many things that have been a part of my life during the past 50 years, up's and down's and "all around's," but most of all I feel very blessed to have made it thus far, and I very much look forward to this next chapter of life...which although it may prove challenging, seems to be a new and exciting adventure, in and of itself.

Most important in my life have been my family; my husband, Fred, my children, step-children, and grand-ghildren. They are all such bright lights in my life and absolute Blessings!!

In the most exciting category, by far, has been becoming a grand-parent!  My husband and I have 11 grand-children!  I was most priviledged to be at two of their births, which was quite "Awesome!"  Additionally, completing two degrees at Neumann College was most rewarding, and led to a 23 year career working in Communit Mental Health as a therapist.  During the last 16 years I also completed intensive training at U Mass Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts related to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and have facilitated groups and workshops on this topic ever since then.  For exercise, over the years, I have found dancing to be the most fun!  This past year I began tap dancing again, and I am loving it!  When thinking about other fun and exciting things which I have enjoyed, riding horse back on the beach and in the water in Jamaica three years ago tops my list of exciting adventures!    To sum it up, "Life is Good, very, very Good!"
