In the past 50 years I've worked in the classrooms of elementary and high schools, raised 2 children who now have their own families. I've lived in NC, WI, MI, CA and SC. My husband and I spent the past 30 years in CA until we moved to SC 3 years ago to be closer to 4 of our 5 granddaughters. We will celebrate 44 years of marriage in June.

Without giving an "organ" recital, I've had 5 major surgeries, including a kidney transplant in 2004. My wonderful and loving husband was my donor.  Please don't expect me to be one!

We’ve traveled many places in the USA and abroad. Have seen the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, hot air balloons in Albuquerque, been to NASA, Hawaii, Alaska, Spain , Mexico and more. I love the ocean and the mountains and the four seasons, though I prefer the warmth of summer. I like walking in the woods, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles and spending time with our granddaughters, especially at the local zoo.

Most of all, I've had a personal walk with Jesus as my Savior and Lord since I met Him in our senior year of high school. Remember when we were allowed to read the Bible in homeroom and say the Pledge of Allegiance? My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5 and 6 – In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.

I appreciate all the friends and family we’ve met along this 50 year journey. I pray that each of you will end your life’s journey with the assurance that Heaven is waiting.
