John Woodburn

Getting through college was an arduous task without money and good health.  Nonetheless, I married and had a daughter before graduating from Purdue in engineering and management. RCA hired me on their MBA program so we spent 10 years with them, including stints in Canada and Europe. Three of our boys were born during that time. All are now engineers. New York city was no longer for me so I joined a family held company, helping it grow to a Fortune 500 enterprise in Europe, Asia, and South America. Two more boys and two girls were born along the way.  Everyone speaks Spanish and some are also fluent in French and Italian. One remains in college, Babson, wanting to be an entrepreneur like dad. I led two more companies, retired, became a financial planner, and then retired again. We enjoy visits with five grandchildren.

I enjoy every day for whatever it gives me. Tennyson's words prove true in my case that: "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." 'Tis just so with my family, associates, work, and those (5) times of acute loss . I also found someone to teach me how to love: Jehovah God.
