Craig and Peggy Muehsam Garner

In high school, we were both very shy and quiet. But we worked up enough cvourage to go to the Senior Prom together. We then went our separate ways: Craig to college, graduate school and the Army in Korea: Peg to Penn Nursing School and a general surgery practice affiliated with Crozer Hospital.

Our mothers knew each other and were the cunning matchmakers that brought us back together when we were age 26. We have to give them credit: they probably knew better than we did at the time that we were meant for each other. We married at 27 – and we both believe it is the best decision we ever made. As far as we know, we are the only two members of the Penncrest Class of 1960 to have married each other. We celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in February, 2010. And Peg’s mother is still alive at  90.
